My name is Nawid Adelyar and I’m a third year Civil Engineering student at Warwick University.

I am the founder of Fruitee, a clothing company which intends to spread the awareness of a fruit based diet and encourage people to eat more fresh fruit, for improved physical, mental and spiritual health. The clothes have fruit prints which I designed by hand and current options available are the Dragonfruit, Watermelon, Kiwi, Orange and Apple designs. In addition, it is important to mention that the clothes are all 100% Organic Cotton and ethically sourced with good quality, ensuring durability for customers. This ties in with the vision of the brand to contribute towards a more sustainable and mindful future. Fruitee currently has a website found at www.watermelon.teemill.com, and orders can be made online with worldwide shipping.

In this section, I will explain why I decided to create this brand a few months ago, and what it really means to me. So, firstly I should say that I am fruitarian which means that I eat mostly fruit and some nuts and seeds for all of my caloric intake. This lifestyle has been attracting more attention in recent years thanks to the works of certain individuals such as Professor Arnold Ehret, Dr Morse and others. There is the belief that humans are frugivorous animals similar to primates, designed to consume a high proportion of fruits in their diet. This means that all people can thrive on a fruit based diet, if approached in a sensible manner. There are some misconceptions that exist when it comes to eating fruit, and too much is seen as a bad thing by many people, but I invite you to having an open end and consider what I am saying as a possibility in this blog. I have lived this way for the past 2 years and feel at my best in all areas of life. A typical day of eating for me looks this this, although this can be entirely different on some days, and different approaches can be taken:

Day 1 Breakfast - Green Tea with 5 Medjoul Dates Snack - Handful of Walnuts Lunch - 10 Oranges Snack - 1 Avocado Dinner - 4 Mangoes

Day 2 Breakfast - 1 Watermelon Snack - Handful of Almonds Lunch - Large Bowl of Blueberries Snack - Bowl of Pomegranates Dinner - 8 Kiwis

So, you can notice above that I don’t really mix the fruits that I eat, this is called monomealing, where you focus on eating one type of fruit at a time which makes meals very simple and easy to digest. I have noticed that combining too many types of fruit at the same time can be a bit tricky for the stomach and I feel at my best when I keep my meals simple. This means I don’t drink smoothies too often or indulge in fruit salads, but you may find that it works for you!

Something very important to note is to really hone in on the skill of listening to your body, which might be a little difficult due to certain food addictions we may have initially. I found that intermittent fasting helped me overcome this problem, and my body naturally pulled me towards fresh, colourful fruits when I would break my fast each day. My transition process felt absolutely amazing and I could feel each day that I was getting lighter, my thoughts were becoming clearer and I felt way more energy generally and spiritually connected to Mother Nature or God. This transformation for me felt like an evolution and I would definitely say that my consciousness expanded significantly in this time and I started noticing shifts in my world view, emotions and feelings.Watermelon Clothing100% Organic Cotton Fruit Clothing!watermelon.teemill.com📷

I made the change to living a fruit based lifestyle two years ago because for a while I had started to feel depressed and unhappy, feeling guilty about eating some types of food and being trapped in a negative cycle of emotions, overthinking about many things in life. I had lost hope and felt really stuck, not knowing what I was going to make of my future - it is safe to say that I was in quite a bad state. At some point, I decided to break this cycle and began to get my life together, so I started looking for answers. I understood that I should look towards nature for healing, and soon enough after too, I discovered Veganism through social media and better yet some videos online about living a Fruitarian lifestyle. After spending some time researching both areas, I felt I was able to give it a try since I always loved fruits and felt that I could sustain all my needs on a fruit based diet. I truly believed this and started to love myself more each day, from what I was feeding my body, to the activities I was engaging in and the people I was associating myself with. I learnt my truth that the meaning of life is love, and the first stage of this is through self love. Peace begins on your plate and this is the motto I abide by. I can honestly now say that fruit saved my life! I no longer have guilt about the food that I eat and I also feel that I can eat all I like overeating and negative thoughts associated with that. Eating more fresh fruit affects your health in ways you wouldn’t expect. I like to say, “let thy fruit be thy medicine, and thy medicine be thy fruit”. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that I haven’t been sick in the past 2 years since switching to a fruitarian diet. I am aware that fruit is packed abundantly with nutrients and vitamins that work wonders for our bodies and the DNA of our cells, which know exactly how to respond to these sun packaged goodies filled with ‘light’ energy. My skin has improved and my hair, teeth and nails look more radiant too! I have had many compliments on this and always credit it to the power of nature. Aside from the health benefits, there are tonnes of benefits for the environment and the animals too! Living a fruit based lifestyle means you don’t contribute to the unnecessary suffering and slaughtering of animals which is responsible for 91% of the Amazon’s deforestation. It has the least bad karma associated too, since the very practice of eating fruits allows more life to flourish by spreading seeds and potentially growing more plants. I think the exponential growth of how one fruit can grow so many more fruits is absolutely astonishing! It’s a very sustainable way of living since not much land is needed to produce plenty of fruit! To conclude, I experienced a difficult moment in my life a few years ago, and fruit saved my life. I am certain that I will continue with a fruitarian lifestyle for the rest of my life and see myself living under the sun enjoying and appreciating life to the fullest with great health and vitality, knowing that I am not harming any animals and doing my best to be a force of peace and positivity on the planet. For this reason, I wish to spread the awareness of the power of fruit through Fruitee clothing with the hope that it could help people who may be experiencing any difficulties in their lives, and to equip them with the awareness of how they can do their part to help live a more sustainable and eco friendly lifestyle by changing what they eat.
